Practicing Ashtanga with a new lens…we will engage with how we approach the Ashtanga yoga practice itself, how we meet the complexities of breath and movement and how becoming more present plays out in deepening the awareness of ourselves through a physical practice.
We will play with breathing technique, chanting, mindfulness and movement awareness noticing the constant and ongoing interplay between these reference points.

Seeing the patterns laid out before us…we continue the theme of Saturday’s mindful awareness by looking at asana and vinyasa, seeing how they all blend together to form an embodied movement awareness. We will look at the patterns and relationships that underpin the forms of the asanas in the practice and see how taking care allows you to deepen the awareness of movement though the postures and series. This will lead to acquiring a greater feeling of connection to the asana and movement of the body, while practicing Ashtanga Yoga.

WORKSHOP

Don´t miss the possibility of meeting senior teacher Kathy, one of the very first generation of Ashtanga practitioners back from the very old times down in Mysore, when Pattabhi Jois was still teaching in his residential building in Lakshmipuram.
No requirements needed, just the love to Ashtanga Yoga. Kathy is now 77 years and loves to share her 50 years of Ashtanga Yoga practice (she is still going!) and teachings. It´s all about inspiration, motivation and the love to Ashtanga Yoga!

Dieser Workshop widmet sich einer individuellen Einführung und Vertiefung in die Intermediate Series (2. Serie). Spielerisch bearbeiten wir verschiede Asanas und lernen wie wir uns passend herausfordern können, um mehr Präsenz, Klarheit und Gelassenheit in der Praxis und im Alltag zu kultivieren. Bei diesem 40 Std Intensivtraining bearbeiten wir die Asanas der Primary Series (1. Serie). Wir lernen Hilfestellungen und Anweisungen sowohl verbal als auch mit den Händen zu geben. Durch ein klares Verständnis zu Anatomie, Bewegung und Ausrichtungsprinzipien, können wir unsere eigene Praxis verfeinern und auch jeden Teilnehmer individuell auf dem Yogaweg begleiten. Die tägliche Pranayamapraxis lässt uns noch tiefer in die Präsenz kommen.
